Hello,
I am seeking a professional copy editor to provide ongoing copy editing and proofreading for contemporary romance manuscripts.
All work is completed in Microsoft Word using Track Changes and must follow the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS). Applicants must have demonstrated experience applying CMOS standards in fiction editing.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates clearly and promptly, and can occasionally accommodate projects with shorter turnaround times when scheduling requires it. Reliability, consistency, and strong editorial judgment are essential.
Rate is $0.003 per word per book for combined copy editing and proofreading. In return, I offer steady, ongoing work for the right editor.
