Ā Follows OSHA regulations and all policies and procedures as set forth by the Housekeeping department

Ā Cleans front area of hotel, sweeps floors and sidewalks; cleans doors, frames, signs, and windows
Ā Cleans and dusts lobby areas
Ā Cleans and restocks all assigned restrooms
Ā Removes trash from all assigned areas
Ā Uses proper chemicals when cleaning as described by the departments procedures
Ā Immediately reports maintenance deficiencies, damage, or loss to Housekeeping department
Ā Polishes all metal around lobby areas
Ā Turns lost and found items into Security in accordance with hotel standards
Ā Cleans and sanitizes assigned public and back of the house areas
Ā Complies with all specific HOSTAR policies and procedures
Ā Removes Room Service trays from hallways and places in appropriate location in service corridor
Ā Assists with general cleaning of guestrooms
Ā Operates and maintains the following equipment (once trained): vacuums, extractors, burnishing/buffing machines, brooms, wet-vacuums, and upholstery cleaners
Ā Maintains the highest levels of cleanliness of the following (once trained): carpets, tile, cement, marble, glass, and all other surfaces
Ā Transfers and stocks all supplies from Receiving as directed
Ā Ensures that the Housekeeping storeroom is neat, organized, and secure
Ā Turns mattresses
Ā Cleans chandeliers
Ā Properly uses and maintains equipment and supplies
Ā Maintains excellent condition of grounds, floors, carpets, etc.
Ā Cleans ashtrays and ash urns
Ā Cleans ice machine areas
Ā Cleans elevator foyers
Ā Cleans elevator doors
Ā Cleans elevator tracks
Ā Washes doors
Ā Vacuums guest hallways
Ā Cleans windows
Ā Cleans door jams and fire boxes
Ā Cleans and mops stairwells
Ā Cleans handrails
Ā Sweeps and mops hallways
Ā Replaces burned out light bulbs according to established procedures
Ā Assists in preparation and deep cleaning of VIP rooms
Ā Moves furniture in rooms as required
Ā Cleans spots on walls
Ā Cleans spots on carpets
Ā Assists Room Attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen from Housekeeping carts
Ā Takes dirty linen to laundry pick up areas
Ā Cleans offices as scheduled
Ā Cleans Front Desk and back office area
Ā Cleans back of the house windows as needed
Ā Attends all department meetings as scheduled
Ā Assists in restocking Room Attendant caddies
Ā Fills Room Attendant bottles with chemicals according to department guidelines
Ā Brings dirty glasses down to Housekeeping department at the end of shift
Ā Washes guestroom glassware in dishwasher and delivers clean glassware to linen closets
Ā Cleans service landings
Ā Cleans stocks, and organizes linen closets, ensuring that they are always locked
Ā Checks all vacuums used by Room Attendants and maintains them
Ā Completes in a timely manner all daily cleaning items for the specific public area assigned
Ā Takes trash to the compactor at the end of the day
Ā Performs as Restroom Attendant for special events, when required
Ā Performs as Room Attendant, if required, on an emergency basis
Ā Graduate Houseperson: trains Housekeeping employees regarding professional knowledge and skills according to the Executive Housekeepers Course Outline, Standards, and Procedures
Ā Demonstrates ability to provide coverage in related departments as directed
Ā Special projects and other duties as assigned
General

Ā Basic English language skills
