Title: Public Health Data Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid work schedule)

  • Responsible for the collection, review, and documentation of user requirements and the development of user stories (?3 years experience)
  • Works with users to gather business requirements and define business rules
  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications for the solution
  • Works with developers on designing the solution
  • Provides subject matter expertise (Public Health - HIV/AIDS) for project documentation
  • Background in Public Health, specifically HIV/AIDS (3 years experience)

Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes what's being done?

Currently there are six different systems that are used to collect and share information about people who have been diagnosed with and are living with HIV and/or STIs. These systems are eHARS, HIVLMS, CAREWare, Aphirm, MDSS, and MIDAP. When complete, the new MIDASH system will combine the functionality of all six systems into a single web based data system so that duplicate entry of information is no longer needed and everything is located in one place.

What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate you're looking for.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology and has spent significant time working within a State or County Health Department, focusing on the management and implementation of HIV/AIDS programs.

This is an individual contributor role that will work with 1 - 2 other Business Analysts reporting up to a DDI Implementation Director, managing the project.
