The California Public Utilities Commission is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst I to join its Customer Programs team within the Public Advocate's Office. The role involves conducting economic, financial, and policy research related to distributed energy resources and representing ratepayer interests in various forums. Responsibilities Conduct economic, financial, and policy research and analysis related to distributed energy resources (DERs), with an emphasis on renewable generation and energy efficiency Write reports, testimony, and other advocacy materials and make recommendations to senior staff and management Represent ratepayer interests in workshops, working groups, industry and stakeholder meetings, legislative hearings, or in other agency forums Skills Eligibility for the classification Experience in designing research, collecting data, conducting analysis using Excel or other computer-based quantitative tools, and making practical recommendations Experience writing and presenting reports that include findings, conclusions, and recommendations Experience in establishing and maintaining cooperative and positive working relationships with others on internal and external teams Completed State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 Resume Official transcript required prior to appointment if using education to meet minimum qualifications Verification of United States course/degree equivalency for foreign education Company Overview California Public Utilities Commission empowers California through access to safe, clean, and utility services and infrastructure.
