About the position

Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
Consult with leadership on team strategy development.
Propose changes to improve team processes and communicate approved changes to direct reports.
Provide input on hiring for positions reporting to them.
Inform management of major team milestones and concerns.
Develop programs supporting continuous process improvement for supplier management and product safety.
Lead and guide the work of direct reports, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Develop Quality Assurance goals and collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Manage multiple projects, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence.
Ensure documentation is maintained and archived as required by law and ALDI standards.
Document performance concerns and complete annual reviews for direct reports.
Supervise day-to-day operations of the team and escalate issues as necessary.
Ensure timely completion of responsibilities by direct reports to provide high customer service.

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Physics, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field required.
A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Retail Operations or Product Safety required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines.
