<p><strong>Job Title: Project Staff Engineer</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Newark, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)</p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> Through 06/30/2027 (Possible Extension)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>Seeking a Project Staff Engineer to support energy efficiency programs by evaluating engineering designs, energy models, and savings calculations for commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects. The role involves technical reviews, QA/QC, and ensuring projects meet cost-effectiveness and regulatory standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Review energy audits, engineering designs, and energy models</li><li>Validate energy savings estimates using TRMs and engineering principles</li><li>Perform QA/QC on project execution and post-construction performance</li><li>Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders</li><li>Develop technical documentation and analysis tools</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>B.S. in Engineering</li><li>2+ years experience in: Energy efficiency projects OR HVAC / Mechanical / Construction project engineering</li><li>Knowledge of: Energy savings calculations; ASHRAE standards & building codes; Strong analytical and Excel skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Ability to work hybrid in Newark, NJ</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>CEM, LEED, or PE certification</li><li>Experience with energy modeling tools (eQUEST, EnergyPlus, TRACE 3D)</li><li>Advanced Excel (formulas, VBA)</li><li>Knowledge of building controls and automation systems</li></ul><p></p>
