Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to transform our existing e-learning presentations into engaging video-based course content.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational content development and multimedia design, with proven proficiency in video editing. The scope of this project involves reviewing and understanding our existing course materials, then reformatting and enhancing them to improve the overall learning experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about e-learning and capable of producing dynamic, high-quality educational content.
Candidates with an engineering or aviation background will be preferred.
All existing course materials will be provided. Branding resources will also be provided, including logos in vector format, color schemes, and related assets. In addition, to support the candidate’s understanding of the subject matter and help achieve the best possible results, we will provide:
- Any additional information as requested
- Access to related CBT resources (computer-based training)
- Consultancy with a professional aviation instructor at any time as needed
The courses concerned are specific and considered standard within the aviation industry for technicians and instructors. They are as follows:
- Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance
- Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems Awareness (EWIS) Training
- Fuel Tank Safety
- EASA Part-66/147 Regulation
- Extended-Range Twin-Engine Operations (ETOPS)
Many of the courses - specifically HF, EWIS, FTS, and Part-66, but not ETOPS - shall have two versions: Initial and Recurrent.
The Recurrent version serves as a refresher course that aviation instructors and/or technicians must attend every 2 years. It is intended to function strictly as a refresher, focusing on the most important points rather than explaining all material again from the beginning. The total duration of the recurrent training video shall be approximately half that of the initial version.
For reference, the approximate length of the existing source documents and the target video durations are as follows: Human Factors (HF) – approximately 240 pages for the Initial version and 140 pages for the Recurrent version; Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems Awareness (EWIS) – approximately 230 pages for the Initial version and 130 pages for the Recurrent version; Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) – approximately 250 pages for the Initial version and 110 pages for the Recurrent version; EASA Part-66/147 Regulation – approximately 120 pages for the Initial version and 90 pages for the Recurrent version; and Extended-Range Twin-Engine Operations (ETOPS) – approximately 450 pages. The page figures are indicative only and are provided to give the candidate a general understanding of the volume of material to be reviewed and converted. The target duration for each Initial course video is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, the target duration for each Recurrent course video is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, and the target duration for the ETOPS course video is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. These durations are approximate targets intended to assist with quoting and planning; the final length of each course may vary depending on the material.
The course videos shall be divided into chapters so that students may pause their training on the platform and continue at another time or on another day without losing progress.
In the presentations provided, the content may not already be divided into chapters, or the chapter structure may not be clearly indicated. The candidate may either determine the chapter divisions independently, where possible, or request assistance from our professional aviation consultant in defining them, as this is generally intuitive.
All videos must be animated and include voice-over narration.
AI may be used at the candidate’s discretion for any aspect of the submission. We evaluate the quality of the final result rather than the methods used to create it. Content generation, voice-over narration, animation, and graphics may all be AI-generated if the candidate chooses.
This project is intended as a first batch of course conversions. Subject to the quality of the candidate’s deliverables and the overall success of this initial cooperation, there may be further opportunities for continued collaboration on additional training courses to be converted into video-based format in the future.
