Job Description
Zimmer Biomet is a global medical technology leader focused on enhancing patient mobility. The Regional Sales Specialist will support Field Sales and the Regional Sales Coordinator team by ensuring timely processing of orders and addressing product availability challenges.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process orders by phone, App, or e-mail within 4 hours of receipt
- Assist Regional Sales Coordinator, within their assigned region, when the RSC(s) for that region is unavailable
- Assist the RSC’s with scheduling loaners and coordinate surgery coverage, including field transfers and set extensions
- Support timely resolution of customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries
- Review cases per assigned region for accuracy and completeness
- Document and communicate any errors
- Track shipped orders keeping field sales representatives informed regarding shipment status and resolve late shipments when requested
- Process proposals/quote requests from specific field sales, as requested
- Resolve routine customer complaints with order status, credit hold, and shipping problems, product upgrades or price adjustments, as required
- Advise Regulatory Affairs of priority complaints or those that involve regulatory agencies such as the FDA
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
- Ability to work overtime as required to complete assigned projects on time
- Other duties as assigned
- May on occasion assist with Field Inventory Audits
Skills
- Associate Degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, four-year degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence others, organizational skills, and ability to handle increasing levels of responsibility
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and creative problem solve
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
- Ability to work overtime as required to complete assigned projects on time
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
- Previous experience at a medical device company preferred
- 1+ years related sales support, customer service, customer facing experience and/or training preferred or relevant experience within the department
- Experience with SAP (ERP system) preferred
