<div><strong>We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Accountant and controller to manage the financial and business control tasks for our three companies in Switzerland, Germany, and the UAE. This is a fully remote position that requires an experienced professional with expertise in international finance, accounting, and control.</strong></p>

<div>As a key team member, you will oversee accounting, ensure compliance with local laws, manage financial reporting, optimize business processes, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.</p>

<div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div>
<div><strong>Accounting & Financial Compliance (40%):</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with <strong>IFRS</strong>.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and manage filings for Switzerland, Germany, and UAE entities.</li>
<li>Oversee regulatory, tax, trade, and bank compliance across jurisdictions.</li>
<li>Support internal and external audits and maintain relationships with financial authorities.</li>
<li>Manage accounts payable and receivable, perform reconciliations, and handle all payments.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Business Control & Optimization (30%):</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Analyze costs and profitability by customer and product.</li>
<li>Track cash flow and optimize it to improve financial efficiency.</li>
<li>Identify and implement cost reduction strategies.</li>
<li>Assist in tender bid and investment calculations.</li>
<li>Provide timely and accurate management reports to aid decision-making.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Systems & Process Development (20%):</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement accounting and compliance systems tailored to each jurisdiction.</li>
<li>Develop protocols to ensure smooth coordination between internal bookkeepers and external accountants.</li>
<li>Overhaul and enhance financial workflows and cross-department information flow.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Advisory & Communication (10%):</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the main point of contact for financial matters across all entities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with diverse teams in different time zones and cultural contexts.</li>
<li>Maintain professional communication with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Requirements</strong></div>
<ul>
<li><strong>Education:</strong> Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.</li>
<li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 3 years in a similar role; 5+ years preferred.</li>
<li><strong>Skills:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Expertise in <strong>IFRS</strong> and local compliance in Switzerland, Germany, and UAE.</li>
<li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel.</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.</li>
<li>Experience in designing and implementing structured systems.</li>
<li>Experience with the European VAT system.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><strong>Language:</strong> Fluency in English is required; fluency in <strong>German</strong> and <strong>Arabic</strong> is a significant advantage.</li>
<li><strong>Mindset:</strong> Self-starter, independent worker, and assertive communicator.</li>
<li><strong>Technical:</strong> Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free remote work environment.</li>
