Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Remote Benefit Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a representative, you will deliver exceptional service to our customers by assisting them with their healthcare or pension benefits via phone, email, and webchat. This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire opportunity with a strong potential for permanent placement.

Location: Remote (must live within 1 hour of Pittsburgh, PA, Richardson, TX, Buffalo, NY, or San Diego, CA)


Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.75/hr (based on location)


Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, shifts between 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM (some West Coast roles may start at 5:30 AM)


Start Dates: First class begins August 18th, with weekly classes running through October 2025

About the Opportunity:


In this role, you will provide superior, empathetic customer service to our clients, accurately explaining healthcare and pension benefit information in simple terms. You will use internal systems and documentation to resolve client inquiries, maintain confidentiality, and uphold HIPAA and data security standards. As a team player, you will collaborate with teammates and leadership to meet service standards.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, chat, and email

  • Accurately explain healthcare and pension benefit information

  • Use internal systems and documentation to resolve client inquiries

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and data security standards

  • Collaborate with teammates and leadership to meet service standards

Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Previous call center or customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Bilingual speakers (Spanish or French) can earn an additional $0.75/hr

What We Offer:



  • Competitive pay range: $16.50 - $18.75/hr

  • Full-time hours during peak season (40 hours/week)

  • Possible overtime available

  • Off-season hours may range between 32-40 hours/week
