They are seeking a Bilingual Specialty Testing Customer Service Support Representative to assist patients and clients with health insurance coverage, billing inquiries, and payment options in a fast-paced remote environment. Responsibilities β€’ Ability to work in a high call volume environment, averaging ~75 calls per day from patients, doctor’s offices and/or private insurance carriers β€’ Ability to research and communicate complex information in a clear/concise manner β€’ Ability to navigate and work on multiple systems/websites simultaneously. β€’ Provide assistance to clients and patients, regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billing β€’ Collaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities β€’ Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols β€’ Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances β€’ Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems β€’ Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections and case note β€’ Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations β€’ Assist with other duties as assigned Skills β€’ Associates degree with at least 1+ year prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3 +years of relevant work experience β€’ Professionally fluent and proficient in both English/Spanish required β€’ 5 plus years of experience in the specialty testing/genetics customer service preferred β€’ Prior Healthcare experience strongly preferred with strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices β€’ Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) strongly preferred β€’ Previous customer service experience handling high call volume strongly preferred β€’ Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred β€’ Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes strongly preferred β€’ Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) preferred β€’ Working knowledge of prior authorization preferred β€’ Understanding of Women’s Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes preferred β€’ XIFIN experience preferred β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures β€’ Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy β€’ Must be organized and detail-oriented β€’ Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience Benefits β€’ Medical β€’ Dental β€’ Vision β€’ Life β€’ STD/LTD β€’ 401(k) β€’ Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO) β€’ Tuition Reimbursement β€’ Employee Stock Purchase Plan Company Overview β€’ Fortrea is a provider of comprehensive Phase I through IV clinical trial management, clinical pharmacology, patient access solutions.
