We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Specialist II to join our team at Workwarp. As a Billing Specialist II, you will play a critical role in preparing, compiling, and submitting claims, ensuring compliance with payor requirements and billing regulations. Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Billing Department Manager to develop and implement team goals, workflows, and claim management processes
- Compile, review, and analyze 837 claims for accuracy and compliance prior to submission
- Investigate and resolve denials, rejections, and billing errors, ensuring timely and effective follow-up
- Communicate with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries and issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily posting reconciliation and 835 ERA compilation
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree or certification in medical billing preferred
- Minimum 6 years of experience in medical billing and claims processing, with prior experience in a mental health setting a plus
- Intermediate computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in Netsmart (Avatar) a plus
- Advanced interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior knowledge of billing, HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 codes, with ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations
