Verbatim Pharma is a global leader in measurement and monitoring technology, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager for Pharma Partnerships to build and grow a high-impact partner ecosystem across the US. The role involves developing new partners, enabling existing ones, and collaborating with marketing to shape go-to-market strategies in the pharmaceutical sector. Responsibilities β’ Build & expand the partner network β’ Identify, evaluate, and onboard new pharma-focused partners (dealers, distributors, OEMs, online resellers) β’ Spot gaps in coverage and proactively target the right players in the ecosystem β’ Assess current partners: who has real pharma potential, who needs development, who needs repositioning β’ Create structured growth plans per partner with clear actions, goals, and follow-up β’ Coach partner sales teams on: β’ Ideal customer profiles (labs, pharma manufacturers, data centers, etc.) β’ How to position measurement and monitoring solutions, including bundling with OEM equipment (e.g. data loggers with fridges/freezers) β’ Join key customer conversations where needed β’ Work closely with the internal marketing team to co-create campaigns, toolkits, and collateral tailored to partners β’ Ensure online dealers present and position products correctly (product pages, messaging, visuals, cross-sell opportunities) β’ Track partner performance (primarily sales) and act early where support or course-correction is needed β’ Feed market and partner insight back into sales, marketing, and product teams Skills β’ Experience in Business Development, Channel/Partner Management, Dealer or Distributor Management, ideally in Pharma β’ Experience in Life sciences β’ Experience in Laboratory equipment β’ Experience in Measurement / monitoring / data logging / related technical solutions β’ Proven ability to build and develop partnerships, not just service existing accounts β’ Comfortable working with partner sales reps and marketing teams from training and enablement to campaign ideas β’ Commercially sharp, creative in go-to-market, and able to put your own spin on a shared vision β’ A genuine self-starter: you don't wait for step-by-step instructions, but you're self-aware enough to ask for input when needed β’ Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority β’ Enjoy owning a segment and being the 'go-to' person for pharma partnerships β’ Like working with a hands-off, supportive manager who acts as a sparring partner rather than a micromanager β’ Are comfortable with change and can pivot as the partner strategy evolves β’ Take pride in being a doer β someone who turns ideas into concrete action with partners Company Overview β’ Verbatim Pharma provides recruitment services for pharmaceutical and pharma services companies.
