Michigan Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Assistant to join their research team focused on Deaf perinatal and parenting projects. The role involves supporting a federally funded maternal health study and assisting with participant coordination, data collection, and general team support. Responsibilities β€’ Responsible for monitoring and keeping the project manager informed on daily progress of the study including recruitment, enrollment, data collection, and institutional approvals β€’ Conduct all necessary daily study activities including recruitment, screening, enrollment, participant interviews, data collection, and distribution of incentives for three separately funded Deaf health projects β€’ Monitoring and responding to participant questions and concerns via text, Zoom, call, or email throughout the study β€’ Support the project coordinator and/or investigators to ensure streamlined systems and high-quality data collection and reporting β€’ Assist investigators with group related interventions, including managing Zoom meetings, dissemination of pre- and post-meeting evaluations along with any relevant resources β€’ Assist in transcription, data analysis and dissemination efforts including presentations, manuscripts, and development of the online maternal health toolkit Skills β€’ High school diploma or GED β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and use of Zoom and video phones β€’ Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and awareness of Deaf culture β€’ Highly motivated, detail-oriented, conscientious, responsible, and excellent organizational skills β€’ Able to occasionally work non-traditional hours to accommodate study participant schedules β€’ Possess initiative and willingness to learn new tasks β€’ Ability to work independently as well as with other team members β€’ Strong interpersonal skills professional demeanor, dependability, and ability to work well under pressure β€’ Ability to respect and protect confidential and highly sensitive information β€’ Bachelor's degree in related field β€’ Prior experience in clinical research preferred β€’ Prior knowledge or understanding of pregnancy research or healthcare preferred β€’ Working knowledge of Qualtrics and qualitative research Company Overview β€’ Michigan Medicine is a health care system and academic medical center that provides medical education and more.
