Crossover is a company that specializes in software businesses, and they are seeking a Cloud Architect to ensure systems remain operational and to architect efficient replacements for complex legacy infrastructure. The role involves migrating products to a unified AWS environment while implementing monitoring and automation to minimize incidents. Responsibilities β’ Executing complex infrastructure transitions, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud platforms and lift-and-shift operations β’ Creating monitoring strategies and developing automation for monitoring systems, deployment pipelines, and operational processes β’ Conducting system monitoring, backup operations, incident management, database migrations, database configuration, and cost reduction initiatives β’ Establish reliability and consistency across cloud infrastructure within our expanding product portfolio through implementation of comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices Skills β’ Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient) β’ Demonstrated ability scripting with Python and Bash for routine administrative operations β’ Proven experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL) β’ Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) β’ Expert-level Linux systems administration skills Company Overview β’ Crossover is a global recruitment company, founded in 2014.
