Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mom's Meals, a Purfoods Company, is seeking a Community Supports Data Processor to manage incoming documents for client creation and updates within their CRM system. The role involves frequent communication with agency case managers and requires attention to detail to maintain billing and compliance accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Review incoming Medical Service Authorizations and Medical paperwork to create new clients, update existing clients, and close accounts as needed
- Correspond and follow up with Agency Case Managers via email, State Portal Messaging, and phone calls for action items or needed information
- Access clinical documentation via portal for use in obtaining authorization for services
- Troubleshoot and resolve account issues as required
- Coordinate with internal business partners including but not limited to Logistics, Customer Care, Billing, and Compliance
- Assist other departments for Intake-related inquiries
Skills
- Associate's degree plus 1 year of data processing experience or 2 years' data processing experience in a fast-paced medical or insurance environment
- 2 years' medical background and 1 year of data processing experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortability managing multiple screens/window and operation of computer equipment i.e. keyboard, mouse, webcam, docking station
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, think critically and use resources to guide work
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adjust as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
- Ability to work effectively in both a team and individual environment
- Ability to work effectively remotely and in-office as needed
- Sincerity and passion for helping people
- Prior experience adhering to company policies and showing core values
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field
- Medical Billing terminology
- Experience working in medical data processing, coding, physician office, or other clinical/health information setting
