Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Senior Retail Consultant for Unified Commerce Products & Solutions. This role involves providing thought leadership in retail point of sale and unified commerce solutions, partnering with clients to shape their vision and drive alignment on strategic initiatives.
- Responsibilities
- Leverage Practitioner Experience: Draw on deep, hands-on experience on Retail point of sale solutions to understand client challenges, operational realities, and best practices across the merchandising value chain
- Drive Product and Solution Demonstrations: Lead compelling demonstrations of our unified commerce products and solutions, translating operational needs into real-world use cases that resonate with practitioners and executives alike
- Champion Next-Generation Technology: Stay at the forefront of unified commerce trends, proactively identifying and evangelizing innovative solutions that shape the future of retail merchandising
- Bridge Operations and Innovation: Connect operational expertise with emerging technologies, helping clients envision and realize tomorrow’s commerce strategies
- Align Solutions to Client Needs: Map client requirements to the capabilities of our commerce portfolio, ensuring solutions address both current operational challenges and future growth opportunities
- Lead Discovery and Solutioning Workshops: Facilitate workshops that uncover pain points, define solution approaches, and build consensus around transformation initiatives, drawing on both practical experience and industry foresight
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering Teams: Provide practitioner-driven feedback to influence product roadmaps, ensuring solutions remain relevant and impactful
- Mentor and Inspire Teams: Share practitioner insights and a passion for innovation with internal teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
- Support Sales and Business Development: Partner with sales teams to develop strategies, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and deliver presentations that highlight both operational credibility and visionary thinking
- Enable Client Success: Guide clients through the adoption of unified commerce solution, supporting change management and ensuring successful implementation with a practitioner’s perspective
- Skills
- MBA or advanced degree in Retail disciplines
- 7+ yrs experience with Retail POS & unified commerce solutions, product consultant experience with a Retail POS software vendor also a great plus
- Exposure to Retail POS, OMS, Ecommerce solutions and processes
- BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
