Hornet Staffing, Inc, a GEE Group company, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Threat Analyst with a strong focus on Web Application Firewall (WAF) security. The role involves managing and optimizing WAF solutions, performing vulnerability assessments, and securing enterprise web applications.
- Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, tune, and maintain WAF solutions
- Perform application vulnerability scanning and remediation
- Develop Python automation for WAF management, scanning, and reporting
- Analyze and respond to security incidents and alerts
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Skills
- 4+ years of cybersecurity experience (application security, WAF, or vulnerability scanning)
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and WAF platforms (F5 preferred)
- Strong Python skills for automation and REST API integrations
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and web application attack techniques
- Experience with Jenkins, JSON, and security tooling
- Active CISSP or CEH certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
