Job Description
We are actively seeking detail-oriented and self-motivated individuals for a Remote Data Entry Assistant (Deaf and/or Non-Verbal Candidates Encouraged to Apply) position, with a focus on providing an inclusive and supportive work environment for candidates who are deaf and/or non-verbal. Communication will be fully accessible via written channels (chat, email, task management tools), and we welcome applicants who are fluent in written English and comfortable working independently. βΈ» Responsibilities: β’ Accurately input, update, and maintain data in spreadsheets and databases β’ Organize and sort digital files, records, and documentation β’ Perform routine audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness β’ Follow written instructions and meet daily/weekly productivity targets β’ Communicate with the team via email, chat platforms (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams), or project tools (e.g., Trello, Asana) β’ Backup digital files and assist in maintaining organized cloud storage β’ Carry out any additional written or document-based tasks as assigned βΈ» Required Skills & Tools: β’ Strong typing and data entry skills (Speed and accuracy) β’ Proficiency in software such as: β Google Docs, Sheets β Microsoft Excel, Word β OCR tools (e.g., Tesseract, FreeOCR, Omnipage) β Document management tools (e.g., Docufree, Maestro) β’ Ability to follow written instructions precisely β’ Good organizational and time-management abilities β’ Comfort with remote communication and collaboration tools βΈ» Accessibility & Inclusion: We are committed to creating a barrier-free and inclusive hiring process and work environment. β’ All communication will be written (no phone or video calls required) β’ Step-by-step instructions and written support provided β’ Onboarding and training materials are available in text format β’ Team is trained in inclusive communication for deaf and/or non-verbal staff βΈ» Minimum Requirements: β’ High school diploma or equivalent β’ Strong written English communication β’ Reliable internet connection and personal computer βΈ» Optional but Preferred: β’ Previous experience in data entry or administrative work β’ Familiarity with cloud storage systems (Google Drive, Dropbox) β’ Basic knowledge of OCR tools or document scanning software Apply tot his job
