Position Overview We are looking for a detail‑oriented Remote Data Entry Associate who excels at converting alphabetic and numeric information from a variety of source documents into our secure digital systems. This full‑time, work‑from‑home role offers a standard Monday‑Friday schedule (8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST) with the possibility of overtime. The ideal candidate thrives on consistency, has a proven typing speed of at least 60 words per minute , and embraces the responsibility of safeguarding sensitive medical and financial data in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities Document Preparation: Gather, sort, and ready source documents (paper or electronic) for data entry, ensuring that each file is complete and legible. Data Entry Execution: Accurately input alphabetic and numeric data into the appropriate Jobspirex database, maintaining a consistent typing speed of 60 WPM or higher. Quality Assurance: Perform dual‑verification by comparing entered data against original source documents, correcting errors, duplications, or omissions promptly. Discrepancy Management: Identify missing pages or inconsistent information, resolve issues using standard procedures, or escalate to the team leader for further action. Security Compliance: Adhere strictly to data security protocols, including daily database backups and compliance with HIPAA privacy standards. Clerical Support: Execute ancillary tasks such as filing, scanning, emailing, proofreading, and organizing digital folders as needed. Continuous Improvement: Suggest workflow enhancements, participate in periodic training, and stay updated on evolving software tools and regulatory requirements. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; GED accepted. Demonstrated ability to achieve a score of 8,000+ on a 10‑key numeric test (preferably 10,000+). Minimum of six months of professional data‑entry experience, or an equivalent blend of training and hands‑on practice. Prior exposure to a medical office environment is highly preferred. Proficient with standard office equipment: computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable navigating web‑based applications. Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA regulations and a proven track record of maintaining confidentiality. Verified typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
