Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Community Health Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Director, Identity Protection who will provide strategic leadership in developing and implementing Cybersecurity Identity programs across the organization. This role involves managing a team of professionals, collaborating with various stakeholders to align Cybersecurity strategies with business objectives, and overseeing the identification and management of Cybersecurity risks.
- Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of Cybersecurity programs across the enterprise
- Manage and develop a team of Cybersecurity managers and professionals responsible for the success of key initiatives and operational outcomes
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, architecture, IT, and business stakeholders to assess risks, define strategies, and establish security requirements that mitigate security risks and threats
- Oversee the delivery and ongoing operation of security controls, ensuring solutions remain effective and adaptable to emerging threats
- Foster partnerships with organizational leaders to ensure Cybersecurity strategies and frameworks align with enterprise objectives and compliance requirements
- Provide insight into emerging technologies and threat trends to guide innovation and future planning
- Communicate complex Cybersecurity concepts and strategies to executive leadership, external partners, and non-technical teams
- Lead high-impact Cybersecurity projects, coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders to meet organizational goals
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with all regulatory, legal, and internal security standards, keeping Cybersecurity policies up to date with industry best practices
- Deliver regular performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics, risks, and improvements
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating and ensuring third-party solutions meet strategic Cybersecurity objectives
- Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required
- 8-12 years of progressive Cybersecurity leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience working in complex, regulated, or highly distributed IT environments
- Deep understanding of enterprise Cybersecurity architecture, governance, and risk management principles
- Proven ability to lead large-scale security programs and align technical strategies with business priorities
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive collaboration
- Skilled in developing, implementing, and optimizing processes that strengthen security operations and resilience
- Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the cybersecurity organization
- Advanced degree preferred
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent) preferred
