Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Patriot Software is a remote-first, product-led tech company focused on simplifying accounting and payroll for American businesses. They are seeking an Engagement Representative to build long-term relationships with prospective customers, guide them through software features, and advocate for customer needs to influence product development.
Responsibilities
- Contact potential customers and follow up with leads to discuss how Patriot’s software can benefit their business
- Showcase our software to potential customers by providing demos via video call
- Make connections with customers by providing personalized customer service via phone, live online chat, or email (no robots here!)
- Guide new customers through the initial setup process
- Use knowledge of Patriot’s accounting and payroll software to answer customers’ questions
- Be an internal customer advocate to help influence product development and new features
- Constantly learn and expand on your software knowledge, our new features, and accounting and payroll skills
- Work with a team to help solve customer problems and highlight the value of our software
Skills
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1-2+ years of inside customer sales experience (SaaS preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills, including strong verbal and written communication
- Proficient with technology, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools, including AI
- Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with team members through remote and in-person interactions, including attending meetings as needed
- Must have the ability to handle sensitive customer information securely and adhere to the company's data protection protocols
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document customer interactions in a timely manner
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including answering customer calls, responding to emails, and handling chats
- Able to use strong problem-solving skills and think quickly on your feet
- This role requires sitting or standing for extended periods (8+ hours) while working on a computer
