JOB DESCRIPTION: ONLY SERIOUS APPLICANTS PLEASE! Carrot Global Solutions is seeking experienced ESL tutors to teach adults and children online in a FAST PACED teaching environment, teaching students in South Korea. ONLY SERIOUS APPLICANTS PLEASE!

PAY:

 $11 - $13 USD per hour starting wage ($14 - $16 CAD for Canadian teachers)
• Great for part time job with a minimum 1 year commitment.

 Pay is divided per 10 minutes class.

 Incentives for top tutors each month.

 Monthly ‘Good Attendance’ bonus for tutors with no call-offs or sick days.

 Yearly pay raises based on performance evaluation.

SCHEDULE: Make your own schedule during the following available PEAK hours:

 Morning hours: 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM Monday to Friday Korean Time

 Evening hours: 9:00 PM - Midnight KST (Sunday to Thursday EST)

 You can choose an AM schedule, PM schedule or a split shift.

 Schedule must have at least 15-20 hours of set availability that is fixed.

 Schedule is Monday through Friday.

 Part time and Full time available. FT teachers can work as many hours as you want!

CLASSES AND BOOKINGS:

 Classes are 10 to 60 minutes based on the student’s choice (10-20 mins are most popular).

 Lessons are one on one.

 Students are assigned to you automatically, no searching for students.

 Bookings are based on performance and student feedback (no guaranteed booking rate).

 Classes are typically back-to-back (breaks depend on bookings or schedule chosen).

 Long-term employment offered and at least a 1-year contract is required.

 Textbooks and class materials are provided.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: If you do not meet the requirements listed, please do not apply

 Residing in USA or Canada (Those living abroad are also acceptable, warranted you meet the technical requirements.)

 University degree REQUIRED.

 Previous ESL / EFL teaching experience (online experience preferred)
• Ability to maintain energy and enthusiasm in each class.

 Ability to work a consistent fast paced schedule with minimal call outs or sick days.

 Self-motivated and able to work independently.

 Professional appearance, demeanor, and speech.

 Responds well to any feedback or constructive criticism.

 Able to follow a meticulous company policy and procedures.

 Proactive communicator who keeps manager informed and updated.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: If you do not meet the requirements listed, please do not apply

 Virtual classroom or webinar experience required (Zoom experience preferred)

 Computer with at least 2 GB of RAM

 Hard- wired internet service with to access the modem (NOT WiFi)

 High speed internet of at least 20mbs

 Stable internet and power with minimal ISP or power outages

 Noise canceling headset with an attached microphone (NOT earbuds)

 External webcam (NOT the onboard laptop camera)

 Access to Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe PDF viewer.

 High level of proficiency with computers and internet

 Can quickly type notes and sentences while conversing with a student. (MULTITASKING)

 Ability to quickly troubleshoot, diagnose and fix your own technical problems.

 Quiet area to work with no distractions.

APPLICATION AND TRAINING STEPS:

4. We will proceed with a Teams interview once we’ve verified your internet speed.

5. If passed onto the next round, there will be a 3-day training consisting of an hour and a half or 2 hours each day. (UNPAID)

6. After training, you will have 2 days of trial classes. (PAID)

7. If the training classes go well, you will be given final feedback and offered a contract.

8. The entire training process COULD BE completed in 1-3 weeks.

9. Trail lessons will get a deferred payment, to be received after your first 3 months of employment.
