Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologist to provide locum services for a busy inpatient imaging practice. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking consistent evening coverage in a high-volume hospital setting. Coverage is needed beginning December 2025 for an ongoing contract with potential for long-term placement.
Job Details
Setting: Acute care hospital (remote coverage)
Schedule: Weekdays, 3:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. (9-hour shifts); option for 5:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
Coverage: Scheduled shifts only; no call required
Shift Commitment: Full evening coverage; multiple positions available
Patient Volume: ~80 studies per weekday evening
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Modalities: CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films (no nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast)
Focus Areas: General diagnostic imaging; preference for body imaging. Prostate reads are a strong plus.
Procedures: No interventions expected
Systems: EMR: Epic (required)
Requirements
Board Certification: Required in Radiology
License: Active, unrestricted state license (California required)
Certifications: BLS or ACLS; DEA required
Experience: Minimum 1 year post-training; must be comfortable with high-volume evening reads
Background: Clean malpractice history required (no hits)
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30+ days; emergency privileges may be available in ~14 days
