Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 2COMS Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a SQL Data Migration Specialist to ensure the seamless and secure transition of data from legacy ERP systems into Deltek Vantagepoint. The role involves leading data analysis, mapping, and transformation efforts while maintaining data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to define and document data migration requirements
- Analyze and map data structures between legacy systems and Deltek VantagePoint
- Perform comprehensive data analysis and cleansing on source systems
- Develop, test, and implement SQL-based ETL scripts and procedures
- Validate migration outcomes through rigorous testing and reconciliation
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies and anomalies
- Execute data migration activities in production environments with minimal disruption
- Partner with Operations to design, build, and customize reports using Microsoft Visual Studio
- Create and configure workflows within Deltek Vantagepoint to support business processes
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging tools and technologies related to Deltek Vantagepoint
- Provide technical support, guidance, and troubleshooting for data-related issues
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Deltek Vantagepoint data structures and migration best practices
- Skills
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading into Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- Demonstrated experience with relational databases, including tables, views, T-SQL, and stored procedures
- Proven ability to develop advanced queries and stored procedures for workflows and custom reporting
- Strong understanding of database systems, data modeling, and migration methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Close attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Experience in data mapping and transformation between legacy systems and Deltek VantagePoint
- Hands-on experience with data extraction, cleansing, and validation processes
- Minimum 5 years of professional development experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- Experience in professional services or consulting environments
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial data structures
