- *Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Hotel Food Service Worker to join our team at the careerzynith Customer Lodge in Bethel, AK. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food preparation, and customer satisfaction. This is a rotational position, with a 4-week on and 4-week off schedule, offering a unique blend of flexibility and stability.
- *Responsibilities**
As a Remote Hotel Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Washing food service area objects by hand or with cleaning equipment
- Cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment, and placing them in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner
- Cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down all general food service areas and equipment
- Removing garbage from assigned areas, setting up or breaking down tables, and performing other duties as required
- Assisting cooks or others as needed, and coordinating one's own activities with other food service activities and requirements
- Properly, safely, and efficiently preparing food products while following standard food-handling procedures
- Assisting with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects
- Maintaining a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas, including service machines
- Stocking storage areas with various products
- Performing other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success
- *Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, and other non-traditional schedules
- A Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment
- The ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- Some prior experience or training that demonstrates knowledge of cleaning equipment and processes, or a suitability for and interest in this type of work, is preferred
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and processes
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and perform other physical tasks as required
