Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Remote Inpatient Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding for inpatient hospital stays and be able to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient hospital visits.
Review medical records to ensure proper coding and compliance with CMS and payer regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation.
Maintain productivity and accuracy standards set by the organization.
Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Certification: CCS (AHIMA) or CIC (AAPC) required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient coding experience.
Strong understanding of DRG assignment and CMS regulations.
Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
