Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Think Consulting is seeking a hands-on Interim Supply Chain/Operations Manager to join their clients' US team. The role involves stabilizing daily operations and re-engineering processes to achieve high standardization and automation in a complex environment.

    Responsibilities
  • Ensure demand planning is in synch/optimized with frequently reviewed inventory levels
  • Plan current product needs and Forecast NPD with German HO
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Sourcing, and Manufacturing Operations to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the warehouse
  • Oversees the physical bundling of product locally
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
  • Negotiates prices for freight and packaging
  • Acts as part of the team coordinating product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
  • Manage the 3PL relationship to ensure the customer experience is elevated and seamless
  • Support the MD and GLT’s executive team’s vision and process ideals
    Skills
  • Proven leadership experience within an international manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a lean and agile team structure, contributing strategically while remaining hands-on when needed
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and pivoting quickly as business priorities evolve
  • Strong oversight and operational expertise across Demand Planning
  • Strong oversight and operational expertise across Pen Management (production area/work cell oversight)
  • Strong oversight and operational expertise across End-to-end Supply Chain Management
  • Strong oversight and operational expertise across Operational Execution
  • Strong oversight and operational expertise across Development of Client Proposals and commercial support

  • BA / MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Experience in CPG, working with a premium global company driving US initiatives is a plus!
  • Strong attention to detail with an excellent communication skill both oral and written
  • Ability to properly prioritize duties and responsibilities, experience managing external 3PL partners, and global team expectations
  • Ability to successfully work within what is currently a small local entrepreneurial team while partnering with the capabilities, resources, and requirements a much larger parent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as or similar to SAP ByDesign
