The Cybersecurity SIEM Engineer will design, implement, and function a Splunk SaaS SIEM in the Logging and Detection Engineering crew, whilst additionally integrating different technology and platforms. ROLE... • Develops custom Splunk programs to assist different SOC-associated groups in the department. • Writes custom detections to hit upon and alert on danger actor activity. • Writes custom Python code to combine programs with cloud technology inclusive of Event Hubs. • Integrates different Splunk and non-Splunk environments right into an international SIEM. • Creates the roadmap for addressing logging gaps, adulthood upgrades and innovation. • Works with Enterprise Monitoring crew to seamlessly combine platforms. REQUIRED • Minimum of five years’ experience with SIEM technology, with at least 3 years of direct Splunk utility development. • Familiarity with log parsing, statistics fashions and the way they relate to SIEMs, and Splunk, specifically. • Familiarity with scripting/programming languages. Strong Python talents preferred. • Working expertise in growing programs in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment. • Good running expertise in authentication protocols inclusive of Kerberos, SAML, and OAuth. • Hands-on talent with Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux. • Strong information on cloud computing, net technology, and networking protocols. • Scheduling flexibility to satisfy the wishes of the enterprise which include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Recommended • Ability to educate and mentor different Splunk customers with an advantageous attitude. • One or greater Splunk certifications. • One or greater SANS certifications. • Customer-first and crew-orientated mindset. • Strong interest in detail.
