We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team at Home Depot, working remotely from New York, USA. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will drive business productivity, improve efficiencies, and enhance customer experience through data science initiatives. You will lead large-scale data science projects, identify opportunities to leverage best-in-class technology and approaches, and mentor data scientists within the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement algorithms and models to drive business insights, using expertise in business and advanced analytics techniques
- Lead and manage large and complex projects and teams, providing guidance on prioritization and ensuring high-quality work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes, influencing business strategy through data-driven insights
- Stay up-to-date with key advancements in data science, attending conferences and publishing papers to maintain expertise
- Develop and maintain a library of reusable algorithms, ensuring created code and models are well-documented
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proven expertise in predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis
- Experience using statistical procedures to identify key insights that help solve business problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
