The Legal Counsel will support the company's operations in the AMER region by advising on corporate, privacy, and employment law, leading contract negotiations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide legal support. Responsibilities Draft, redline, negotiate, and review SaaS enterprise sales contracts including MSA, GTC/ToS, NDA, DPA, and other legal agreements Advise on legal principles relating to data privacy, IP, information security, and corporate risk mitigation Review and negotiate partnership agreements with our partners in AMER Assist with review and negotiation of procurement and marketing contracts as needed Be part of HR related projects & provide support for certain U.S.
employment and labor law topics Support in providing legal advice on new product initiatives that may be subject to U.S. regulation Support the legal team in providing training to different teams (e.g. prepare and structure the information for training) Support the legal team to build and maintain documentation for the whole team Assist the legal team with different administrative tasks and projects Provide accurate and concise legal research for topics requested from the team Be an active part in our yearly legal review and legal improvement process - support in preparing the agenda & documentation as per the instructions of the legal team manager Skills Law Degree and Bar Admission to at least one jurisdiction in the U.S 1-3 years of experience in reviewing and redlining contracts Prior negotiation experience with complex corporate agreements Strong understanding of commercial contracting and legal processes Excellent English language skills Great legal research, redlining, negotiation and communication skills Interested in learning fast and participating in a wide variety of legal projects Skilled in providing concise legal advice to business teams Ability to analyze the needs of different parties quickly and provide a creative solution Reliable and accurate working style with attention to detail and ability to work independently on assigned tasks with little supervision Understands complex legal and business processes High motivation to build a project from scratch, rethink, and rework existing processes Good organizational skills & well structured to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Acts like an owner in the workplace —proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented Overcomes challenges through teamwork, optimism, and just enough humor to keep the legal team exciting (without compromising professionalism of course) Broad and in-depth specialized knowledge of AMER legal framework plus some knowledge of EMEA and APAC topics would be preferred SaaS or fast-paced tech experience providing support in-house to enterprise sales teams would be an asset Benefits Monthly remote work stipend (home internet costs, electricity).
