Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Center Street Lending is one of the largest specialty lenders in the United States, providing lending solutions to residential real estate investors. The Loan Closing Specialist will be responsible for producing and reviewing closing documents, communicating with third parties, and ensuring a smooth loan funding process.
Responsibilities
- Producing closing documents
- Reviewing closing documents
- Communicating with third parties such as title and escrow
- Providing excellent customer service and clear communication with internal and external parties
- Review loan files for completeness and accuracy to eliminate risks during funding process
- Understanding loan closing and escrow documents
- Balancing settlement statements/HUDs
- Communicating with title and escrow to collect documents necessary to fund the loan
- Working with internal teams: Underwriters, Loan Processors, Loan Officers, Loan Analysts, Appraisal and Post Closing
- Creating structured timelines and coordinating internally to ensure that approved files are clearly documented according to guidelines
- Being able to multitask and work in an extremely fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and organization
- Taking initiative to follow up with internal and external parties to get a file across the finish line in a timely manner
- Preparing funding requests for internal wire team and escrow
- Adhering to established SLA’s
- Maintaining an average pipeline of 15+ loans and funds 35-40+ loans per month
Skills
- 1-2 years preferred experience as a loan closer or processor
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Detail oriented and has a team player attitude
- Familiarity with title and escrow documents, knowledge of mortgage terms
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Adobe
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Encompass (preferred, not required)
