The role involves evaluating translations and providing feedback while working independently in a remote, part-time capacity. Responsibilities • Review and audit Mandarin-language AI outputs, including translations, summaries, Q&A responses, and reasoning tasks • Evaluate content using structured rubrics (8–10 criteria) focused on clarity, correctness, fluency, and consistency • Check translation accuracy between Mandarin and English, ensuring semantic fidelity and natural phrasing • Identify linguistic issues in grammar, spelling, tone, register, and cultural nuance • Assess logical reasoning in Mandarin-language explanations and identify gaps or inconsistencies • Provide clear, concise written feedback to justify evaluation decisions • Work independently and asynchronously using defined tools and workflows Skills • Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin • Strong English reading and writing skills • Experience in Mandarin–English translation, proofreading, linguistic QA, annotation, or text evaluation • High attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines • Comfortable working independently in a remote, contract-based role Company Overview • At Crossing Hurdles, we specialise in customised recruitment and staffing solutions designed to drive success for businesses and professionals.
