National Media is a leading media buying company in Alexandria, VA, seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Media Finance Associate to join their finance team. The role involves processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling media campaigns, and analyzing financial data to improve workflows and systems.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile media campaigns across campaigns and vendors
- Track budgets and ensure accuracy across multiple data sources
- Dive deep into Excel to analyze, organize, and validate financial data
- Assist reporting and month-end processes
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and data accuracy
Skills
- 1–3+ years of accounting or finance experience (internships or part-time experience considered)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field (or currently pursuing one)
- Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with large datasets, using lookups and conditional formulas, and building pivot tables)
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
- A proactive mindset—someone who asks questions and seeks better ways to work
- Experience with accounting software (any platform)
- Exposure to media, advertising, or agency environments
- Interest in process improvement or automation
