About the position
The position is for a
Remote Litigation Attorney with a focus on auto/liability insurance defense work. The attorney will be responsible for handling complex civil litigation matters, conducting discovery, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and the ability to work remotely while attending court hearings and depositions as necessary. Responsibilities • Conduct necessary and appropriate discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations and similar proceedings.
• Research applicable laws and findings and develop appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation. • Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs and opinions as required. • Conduct settlement negotiations if requested. • Utilize various document review platforms and related litigation-based technologies. Requirements • Member in good standing in the MN Bar. • Prior experience handling complex civil litigation matters. • A minimum of 5 years insurance defense experience. • Familiarity with the latest developments in the practice of law and pertinent knowledge in related fields.
• Solid client relation skills. • Proficient with multiple electronic discovery and file management systems. Nice-to-haves • Experience in personal injury cases.
