They are seeking a Nurse Consultant to provide on-site consulting services, conduct compliance audits, and support performance improvement initiatives while traveling nationwide.
- Responsibilities
- Provide on-site consulting services nationwide (75ā80% travel)
- Conduct clinical compliance audits and mock surveys
- Perform Medicare compliance and MDS documentation audits
- Evaluate MDS accuracy and supporting documentation under PDPM
- Provide corrective action guidance and performance improvement support
- Submit reports and maintain timely communication with leadership
- Remain current on federal and state regulatory requirements
- Skills
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum five years long-term care experience
- Experience in clinical compliance and regulatory oversight
- Working knowledge of MDS and Medicare reimbursement
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel nationwide 75ā80%
- Detail-oriented individuals who are team players
- Adaptable to change and willingness to learn different processes
- Polaris requires employees working from home, or otherwise remote, maintain broadband internet access at the address where remote work is being performed
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times
- Experience as DON, Regional Nurse Consultant, MDS Coordinator, or state surveyor
- RAC-CT certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
