BECU is a financial institution focused on serving its members and communities, and they are seeking an Operations Support Specialist to support senior leaders. This role involves managing complex schedules, coordinating priorities, and ensuring the smooth operation of the business, while also offering opportunities for growth in business coordination and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Executive & Calendar Management: Youâll manage complex, high-volume calendars for senior leadersâbalancing competing priorities, resolving conflicts, and ensuring time is used effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Business Coordination & Execution: Youâll support key business initiatives and projects by coordinating deliverables, tracking actions, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders
- Stakeholder Partnership: Youâll serve as a key point of contact, building strong relationships across internal teams and external partners while communicating proactively and resolving issues as they arise
- Meeting & Event Orchestration: Youâll plan and execute meetings and eventsâfrom logistics and travel coordination to agendas, materials, and follow-upsâensuring every detail is handled seamlessly
- Information & Reporting Support: Youâll capture, summarize, and distribute meeting notes, and help prepare materials and insights that support leadership decision-making
- Operational Tools & Process Support: Youâll maintain key resources like SharePoint sites, org charts, phone lists, and floor plans, ensuring information is current and accessible
- Vendor & Technology Monitoring: Youâll track the performance of vendor-supported tools, gather feedback, and contribute to recommendations that improve processes and outcomes
- Business Continuity Coordination: Youâll act as a liaison for business continuity efforts, helping ensure readiness and alignment within the division
- Administrative & Financial Support: Youâll manage office supplies, track expenses, and reconcile cost activities to keep operations running smoothly
- Growth & Expanded Responsibilities: As you build expertise, youâll have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in logistics, coordination, and broader business operations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience required
- Minimum two years of experience in related business operations support role in a medium to large organization required
- Experience and competency using the Microsoft Office suite required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
- Written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
- Strong ability to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and operate with minimal direction
- Self-starter mindset with a track record of being a fast learner who can quickly pick up new tools, systems, or business processes
- Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a team undergoing change, transformation, or growth
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
