Part-Time Remote ESL Teacher (Elementary Students in China)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Schedule: 6:00–8:00 AM U.S. Eastern Time

Pay: Starting at $10/hour, based on experience

We are seeking motivated U.S.-based individuals interested in teaching English remotely to elementary school students in China via Zoom. This role offers valuable experience for individuals interested in education, ESL instruction, or international learning environments.

Position Overview
• Part-time position (~3 hours per week initially, two classes)
• Additional hours available as the program grows
• Small class size (average 5 students)
• Classes held 6:00–8:00 AM U.S. Eastern Time
• Classes conducted online
• Bilingual classroom assistants available to support communication

Responsibilities
• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English lessons
• Prepare structured lesson plans and interactive activities
• Encourage student participation and confidence in English communication
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Adapt teaching strategies for different learning styles
• Maintain a positive and supportive online classroom environment

Qualifications
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in teaching or working with children
• Ability to create engaging online learning environments
• Experience with ESL, tutoring, mentoring, or teaching is a plus
• Familiarity with English language proficiency standards (e.g., IELTS) is helpful but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field preferred
• TEFL/TESOL certification is a plus
• Must be able to reliably attend early morning classes (6–8 AM ET)
• Must be willing to undergo a background check
