As a Payment Specialist, you will ensure accurate and timely posting of payments, analyze payment activity, and contribute to efficient revenue cycle operations. Responsibilities Apply payments and contractual adjustments accurately and in accordance with departmental procedures Process patient and insurance refunds for overpayments Identify payer trends and communicate findings to leadership Review contracts, analyze perâdiem vs.
drug rate structures, and ensure appropriate claim adjustments Forward paper denials and remittance documentation to A/R teams for followâup Research discrepancies and resolve issues to support accurate reimbursement Meet quality assurance expectations and productivity benchmarks Perform additional duties as assigned to support payment operations Skills One year of experience in billing, cash posting, or collections, preferably in healthcare Proficiency with computers and bolthires Office Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to work effectively in a fastâpaced, multitasking environment Experience with CPR+ or Caretend (preferred) Experience with HCPCS, ICDâ10, and medical billing practices Familiarity with thirdâparty payer guidelines and reimbursement practices Strong communication, organization, and problemâsolving skills Experience in patient accounting systems or revenue cycle operations Benefits Medical Vision Dental Well-being and behavioral health programs 401(k) Company paid life insurance Tuition reimbursement A minimum of 18 days of paid time off per year Paid holidays Company Overview Flexible and connected pharmacy, care and benefit solutions that move organizations and people forward.
