Ā *Location Requirement**
Please note that this position is available exclusively for residents of Indiana.
Ā *Key Responsibilities**
Ā Review, prepare, and process prescription prior authorization requests and appeals.
Ā Scan, index, and organize related documents, ensuring accurate updates to patient/member profiles.
Ā Compile and assess medical notes from patients/providers to support authorization requests, reaching out for additional information as necessary.
Ā Update claims systems with approved requests and notify patients/providers regarding their approval status.
Ā Communicate denial decisions to patients/providers clearly, providing comprehensive rationale for each decision.
Ā *Qualifications**
Ā High school diploma or equivalent.
Ā 1-2 years of pharmacy experience in settings such as retail, long-term care, or hospitals.
Ā Valid Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
Ā National CPhT certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
Ā Proficient in computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office suite.
Ā Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ā Customer-oriented mindset and self-motivated approach to tasks.
Ā Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ā Ability to pass E-Verify, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
Ā Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet departmental goals.
Ā *Preferred Qualifications**
Ā Experience working with Medicaid or in government healthcare settings.
Ā Previous experience working remotely.
Ā Call center experience, including inbound/outbound calls in a pharmacy context.
