Below is a detailed breakdown of your core duties: Device Remediation & Maintenance Perform corrective updates, firmware upgrades, and hardware repairs on Pyxis® MedStation, MedBank, and related automated dispensing equipment. Diagnose and resolve errors that affect medication dispensing accuracy, inventory management, and system connectivity. Conduct preventive maintenance visits to minimize unscheduled downtime. Utilize hand‑powered tools (drills, screwdrivers) and manual tools (sockets, wrenches) safely and efficiently. Travel Coordination & Logistics Plan and book travel using the BD (Becton Dickinson) travel portal, ensuring compliance with company travel policy. Optimize route planning so that assignments are as close as possible to your home base, reducing travel fatigue. Manage travel expenses and submit accurate invoices for reimbursement. Documentation & Reporting Record all service actions, time spent on each device, and parts used in the BD Service Management System. Compliance & Safety Adhere to infection control protocols, including the proper use of respirators and fit‑testing procedures when servicing equipment in sterile environments.
