Please note: We are currently looking for someone to work Wednesdays answering phones and doing other administrative tasks for the clinic. One of the most important qualities we are looking for in our Remote Medical Assistant is someone who is reliable, dependable, and on the ball. We need someone who is organized, proactive, and a fabulous collaborator and team player. We are looking for someone who is going to commit to this position long term, and has the capacity to grow with a fast-growing medical practice.
As a Remote Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support the provider and the patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
This role is high responsibility and accountability. The right fit for this role is someone with excellent patient management skills and a demonstrated ability to take ownership over patient care. We require excellent attention to detail, tracking skills, and speed. You will work with the in-clinic staff and remote team as well to coordinate patient care, so following processes and proper communication channels is key.
Responsibilities
ΓΒ Work in concert with clinic staff to track various treatment paths for patients
ΓΒ Submit IVRs and track responses
ΓΒ Manage surgeries from top to bottom, including:
ΓΒ Tracking the patients who need surgery
ΓΒ Submit all needed prior authorizations
ΓΒ Schedule surgeries with hospitals and surgical centers
ΓΒ Communicate with patients to keep them informed and comfortable throughout the process
ΓΒ Manage all incoming and outgoing records requests for the practice
ΓΒ Review and check patient insurances weekly
ΓΒ Contact outside labs and providers to obtain needed patient results
ΓΒ File faxes and documents as directed by management
ΓΒ Attend weekly meetings and team trainings
ΓΒ Assist with:
ΓΒ Answering phones and handling patient follow up in a respectful and timely manner
ΓΒ Organizing and scheduling appointments
ΓΒ Office administrative support as directed by managemen

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
