They are seeking a Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney to work within a dynamic environment, compile evidence, negotiate claims, and build client relationships in personal injury cases. Responsibilities Work within a dynamic and fast paced environment Pay strong attention to details in drafting court documents Compile all possible information, evidence and documentation, including medical records and bills, loss of earnings documentation and change in lifestyle information, that will help the legal department build a case Negotiate claims Follow up with clients Appear in front of a judge for hearings Review and evaluate liability and insurance availability for cases in pre-litigation Build client relationships and communicate with clients and family members during pre-litigation Conduct investigations – collect and analyze evidence in order to determine all potential claims and liability, potential defendants, and insurance coverages Conduct legal research Investigate facts of loss and research application of case law Analyze, manage, and review evidence to assess liability and determine case plan Draft government claim forms and demand letters Communicate with adjusters; draft correspondence as needed Skills Licensed attorney in California Comfortable meeting with clients/potential clients both on-site and off-site Comfortable with travelling and open to flexible hours as necessary Comfortable with meeting/discussing cases with experts Creative and flexible Work well with others and have strong communication skills Work well under pressure Communicate well in writing with attention to detail Resume References Prior personal injury experience Benefits Flexible Schedules Medical, Dental, Vision and Pet Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Company-paid Life Insurance and AD&D Coverage, Voluntary Life Insurance Short-term and Long-term Disability Employee Assistance and Travel Assistance Programs Unlimited Time Off (FTO) for Attorneys and Exec positions Health FSA and Dependent Care FSA Accident Insurance Commuter Transportation Incentive Cell Phone and Internet Stipend Fully-paid parking Learning and Development Programs
