The Streaming and Revelation Encounters Designing team at Netflix is responsible for improving the Netflix experience to delight, engage, and retain our members. We're looking for a product-focused Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team and drive the growth of the Netflix application across our entire device ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of large customer-facing initiatives at Netflix
- Influence the development of critical technologies, architectures, and operations
- Apply strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to devise sound technical approaches to abstract goals
- Identify the systems required to build new solutions, adapt guides, and weigh relative priorities
- Establish a general plan for various teams to lift up and successfully launch new experiences for Netflix members
- Identify and mitigate technical risks
What We're Looking For:
- A passion for heading toward clarity and simplicity
- Experience making smart architecture decisions to fulfill the needs of a rapidly growing customer base across the globe
- Strong technical skills, with a focus on customer software, systems design, and architecture
- Ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and see different perspectives
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 10+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, software development, or leading software development projects
Desired Technical Skills:
- Customer software, systems design, and architecture experience
- Low-latency streaming, hardware, and system expertise
- Ability to provide insights into business, product, and technology tradeoffs
Desired Project Management Skills:
- Ability to devise and apply different approaches to the execution of complex drives
- Coordination across multiple independent tracks of work and organizations
- Risk identification and mitigation
