They are seeking Remote Math Competition Tutors to teach and support students preparing for AMC 8 and AMC 10 mathematics competitions, emphasizing problem-solving abilities and competition strategies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver online one-on-one math lessons focused on AMC 8 and AMC 10 competition preparation
- Teach in English using interactive and problem-solving based methods to help students develop strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Guide students through competition-style problems and explain key concepts and strategies used in math competitions
- Assign and review practice problems and homework, providing clear explanations and feedback to strengthen understanding
- Help students build systematic approaches to common competition math topics such as number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry
- Support students in developing confidence and effective test-taking strategies for math competitions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above; all majors are welcome
- Must have experience in math competitions (e.g., AMC 8/10) or relevant competition teaching/tutoring experience
- Strong math foundation; familiarity with competitions such as AMC, AIME, or MathCounts is preferred
- Available to work during weekday evenings and weekends
- Bilingual proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required
