Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Connected Logistics builds secure, mission-critical IT and logistics solutions for the U.S. Army and other federal stakeholders. As a Salesforce Technical Architect, SME, you will guide the technical vision and integrity of key features for the AIE system, designing solutions and mentoring developers to deliver secure, scalable applications. Responsibilities β’ Lead end-to-end Salesforce architecture including design, integration, data modeling, security, performance, and deployment strategy (org architecture, multi-org / multi-environment, sandbox strategies) β’ Architect and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio (OmniScript, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors), or equivalent platform-native technologies balancing declarative vs code-based approaches for scalability and maintainability β’ Define and enforce architecture governance in metadata strategy, naming conventions, environment governance, release management, version control, CI/CD workflows β’ Collaborate with data SMEs to design scalable data models; oversee data migration, data quality, data governance, sharing & security architecture; plan for large data volume, data integrity, and compliance constraints β’ Review and approve solution designs, custom code, configurations and integrations submitted by senior developers; provide technical mentorship and guidance β’ Collaborating with DevSecOps and environment leads to ensure secure deployments, compliance with DoD/Army security requirements, environment parity, and deployment discipline β’ Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation: architecture decision records, system diagrams, data and integration models, compliance artifacts, deployment plans β’ Conduct architectural reviews periodically (design reviews, code reviews, architecture board), manage technical debt, and ensure long-term maintainability, performance, security, and compliance β’ Translate complex Army requirements into scalable, maintainable, and compliant Salesforce solutions while communicating trade-offs, constraints, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership β’ Mentor the Development team by promoting best practices, enforcing standards, encouraging continuous improvement, and building technical excellence across the organization Skills β’ Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce architecture experience on enterprise-scale, complex programs β’ Prior experience in DoD or federal environments, with active Top Secret clearance β’ Proven track record leading senior Salesforce developers and making high-stakes architectural decisions β’ Demonstrated production-grade experience delivering OmniStudio solutions or equivalent advanced Salesforce implementations β’ Comfortable working within DevSecOps pipelines, environment governance, metadata-driven deployments, and release management β’ Experience delivering full-lifecycle solutions: from requirements gathering, architecture/design, development oversight, integration and deployment, through support and maintenance β’ Expert-level Apex (classes, triggers, async processing, bulkification, test coverage) and understanding when to use declarative vs programmatic solutions β’ Strong proficiency with Lightning Web Components (LWC) (architecture/design review) β’ Deep knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, sharing & security architecture, performance constraints, governor limits, and scalable design patterns β’ Proven experience with enterprise-scale integrations (REST/SOAP) APIs, platform events, middleware, ETL, message/event-driven patterns, external system connectivity β’ Strong background with CI/CD pipelines, version control, branching strategies, metadata-driven deployments, and environment management across multiple orgs/sandboxes β’ Producing architecture deliverables: data/integration diagrams, decision records, technical specifications, compliance documentation, deployment plans β’ Salesforce Platform Developer II β’ Salesforce Platform App Builder β’ OmniStudio Developer or Consultant (or equivalent demonstrated OmniStudio enterprise experience) β’ Application Architect β’ Additional architect-level certifications (e.g., System Architect, Application Architect, Deployment Lifecycle / DevOps-oriented certs) β’ Certifications or credentials in cloud infrastructure, security, or identity/access management (AWS, Azure, Security+, other relevant clearance-based credentials) β’ Experience delivering Salesforce-based solutions in multi-org, multi-environment, regulated/federal contexts β’ Prior history working under federal contracts or DoD Agile/Scrum teams, with compliance, traceability, and audit readiness β’ Demonstrated success coaching teams, enforcing architectural standards, and driving long-term system health and scalability Benefits β’ Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance β’ Great 401(k) package β’ Generous Paid Time Off Company Overview β’ Connected Logistics is a defense & health company offering logistics, network and program management services.
