### Role Overview
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be instrumental in helping students facing communication challenges. Your focus will be on identifying these challenges, tailoring treatment plans, and implementing strategies to foster student success.
### Key Responsibilities
Ā *Assessment**
Ā Evaluate communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and both expressive and receptive language, to identify disorders and determine eligibility for services.
Ā *Collaboration**
Ā Work with parents, teachers, healthcare providers, and other professionals to share insights, address concerns, and ensure compliance with guidelines.
Ā *Coordination**
Ā Organize and lead meetings for eligible students, including assessments and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), to discuss findings and develop treatment plans.
Ā *Treatment Planning**
Ā Develop individualized treatment plans and educational materials to assist students in overcoming communication disorders, adhering to regulatory standards.
Ā *Instruction**
Ā Provide guidance to support staff on communication disorders and assistive technologies for the effective implementation of treatment plans.
Ā *Technology Integration**
Ā Instruct students on the use of communication technologies, enhancing their educational experience.
Ā *Report Interpretation**
Ā Analyze medical reports to ensure alignment of treatment plans with students' needs.
Ā *Record Keeping**

Ā Conduct home visits and therapy sessions at various locations to deliver personalized intervention.

### Education & Experience
Ā A Master's degree (or higher) in Speech and Communicative Disorders is required.
### Licensing Requirements
Ā Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
Ā Arizona Department of Education Speech-Language Certification
Ā ASHA Certification
Ā DHS Certification
### Knowledge & Skills
Ā In-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech and hearing.
Ā Proficient in speech and language therapy principles, practices, and relevant regulations.
Ā Ability to perform complex tasks and adapt to changing conditions.
Ā Competent in using assessment instruments and specialized equipment for communication disorders.
Ā Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation.

### Physical Requirements
