They are seeking a Senior Associate - A-123 Internal Controls Analyst to support federal clients by documenting, evaluating, and testing internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with OMB Circular A-123. Responsibilities β’ Document financial processes, risks, and internal controls across major business cycles and contractor environments β’ Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of entity-level, process-level, and transaction-level controls β’ Identify control deficiencies and support remediation efforts through development and validation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) β’ Prepare assurance documentation and reporting artifacts supporting annual assurance requirements β’ Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, auditors, and external oversight bodies to ensure alignment and audit readiness β’ Ensure all work complies with federal internal control standards, audit requirements, and documentation standards Skills β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field β’ 2+ years of experience applying internal control frameworks β’ 1+ year of experience supporting financial reporting, audit readiness, and internal control assessments under OMB Circular A-123 or equivalent federal engagements β’ 1+ year of experience documenting financial processes, controls, and risks using narratives, flowcharts, and cycle memos β’ Working knowledge of GAO Green Book, OMB/HHS A-123 guidance, SSAE-18, FMFIA, FFMIA, and the GAO Financial Audit Manual β’ Experience evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of manual and automated financial controls, including reconciliations, approvals, calculations, and system interfaces β’ Strong written communication and coordination skills, with experience leading documentation reviews, obtaining stakeholder concurrence, and supporting audit-ready workpapers β’ Prior exposure to CFO financial statement audits, external auditor coordination (OIG, GAO), and use of audit documentation and control tracking tools (e.g., CDL and CAP trackers) Benefits β’ Major medical benefits such as dental and vision coverage β’ A 401(k)-contribution plan β’ Holiday and personal time off β’ Professional development training & certification benefits β’ Health & wellness subsidies β’ Paid time off for community service Company Overview β’ Blake Willson Group provides compilation, reporting, auditing, risk monitoring, mitigation and project management services.
