Sailglobal is a global HR and payroll solutions platform supporting fast-growing companies with EOR, global payroll, compliance, mobility, and HR operations. They are hiring a remote Senior Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state, multi-client US payroll operations from end to end, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance while providing client advisory support. Responsibilities β’ Process end-to-end payroll for multiple US clients across multiple states β’ Ensure payroll accuracy across: β’ Federal, state, and local taxation β’ Multiple pay frequencies (weekly / bi-weekly / semi-monthly) β’ Bonuses, off-cycle payrolls, retro adjustments, garnishments β’ Support payroll compliance including: β’ IRS and state filings β’ W-2, 941, 940, and amended filings β’ Payroll corrections and notice handling β’ Set up and manage: β’ Federal and state withholding tax accounts β’ State unemployment insurance (SUI) accounts β’ Local tax registrations where applicable β’ Support clients expanding into new US states β’ Participate in payroll software selection, setup, and implementation β’ Configure earnings, deductions, tax mappings, and payroll rules β’ Support data migration, parallel runs, and go-live execution β’ Collaborate with internal product and operations teams β’ Act as a payroll subject-matter expert for client inquiries β’ Explain payroll, tax, and compliance matters clearly to clients β’ Support audits, IRS/state notices, and compliance reviews β’ Work cross-functionally with HR, finance, and compliance teams Skills β’ 5+ years of US payroll experience β’ Proven experience with multi-state, multi-client payroll β’ Strong understanding of US payroll tax and compliance β’ Background in PEO, payroll provider, or payroll SaaS strongly preferred β’ Hands-on experience with platforms such as ADP, Paychex, Rippling, or UKG β’ Experience with Canada payroll is a strong plus β’ Experience with other countries' payroll operations and working with global payroll vendors is a plus β’ CPP or FPC certification is a plus Benefits β’ Performance-based bonus β’ Stock option opportunities for high-impact contributors Company Overview β’ Sailglobal is an emerging one-stop global enterprise and talent service platform.
