OBI Pharma, Inc. is a global clinical stage oncology company seeking a Senior or Executive Director of Business Development with a focus on out-licensing in the biopharma industry. The role involves managing business development strategies, overseeing licensing activities, and engaging in negotiations to drive portfolio growth within the Americas and Europe. Responsibilities β’ Engagement in all stages of BD licensing opportunities with a very heavy emphasis (75% of your time) on primarily out-licensing OBI assets). This includes: β’ Out-licensing partnering outreach and communications follow up β’ Product slides updates β’ NDA/CDA β’ R&D and project team interface β’ Term sheet negotiations β’ Licensing contract reviews β’ Deal analysis benchmarking β’ Project weekly status reports β’ Actively participates in negotiations as appropriate in support of the licensing (in and out), or strategic partnering collaborations in the Americas/Europe. β’ Leads contacts of prospective partner companies to further explore and discuss business development opportunities. β’ Develop ongoing BD budgets, P&L forecasts, and slide presentations β’ OBI management and BD OBI Pharma representative at partnering and licensing venues β’ Multi-disciplinary approach to achieving goals with internal/external customers β’ Coordinate with CBO to identify corporate portfolio growth drivers β’ Provides weekly project status reports to direct report β’ Has ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects β’ Travel required (25%-35%): domestically and internationally β’ Other duties as assigned Skills β’ 5-7 years proven pharmaceuticals successful business development experience in the Americas/European region (including United States/Canada, Latin America, European Union) β’ Understands and has executed and the full licensing deal process (scientific product screening, due diligence processes, meeting minutes, term sheets, P&L assessments, Sr. Management recommendations, contracts analysis, etc.) β’ Successful deal terms negotiation and transactional experience β’ Oncology/cancer therapies: 5 years β’ Pharma/biopharma out-licensing: 5 years β’ Has strong BD licensing connections with pharma/biopharma companies (United States and International) β’ Development of short and mid-term strategic BD planning β’ Strong analytical skills (business and science)βanalysis of a wide variety of scientific data, financial figures, competitive benchmarking, and industry data to make strategic decisions β’ Strong leadership and planning skills β’ Works well within a multi-disciplinary environment β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in the English language β’ Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel β’ Bachelor's β’ Advanced Science Degree or relevant experience required β’ Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs): 5 years β’ MBA Benefits β’ Stock options β’ Good benefits including dental insurance β’ Health insurance (90% coverage) β’ Flexible schedule β’ Self-managed PTO β’ Retirement plan β’ Vision insurance Company Overview β’ Vivente Corporate Search is a boutique executive search firm that provides search and recruitment services for the life sciences sector.
